You are entitled for compensation for checked-in luggage that is delayed, damaged or lost. Make sure you keep your receipts or any proof of purchase to validate your claims. Importantly, do ensure that you make a ‘Property Irregularity Report report (PIR)  for your checked baggage that is delayed, and request a copy of the report from the airline. Travellers are advised to perform any flight bookings or online check-in with AirAsia ahead of the reservation upgrade.  The upgrade will start this Friday with it being offline from 19 January, Saturday at 2.00pm (GMT +8) to 20 January 2019, Sunday at 3.00am on airasia.com, AirAsia mobile app, AirAsia sales offices, AirAsia counters and call centres. Once you have checked-in ahead of time make sure you print out your boarding pass or use the e-boarding pass where available. Travellers can also check-in manually at the counter and the check-in fees for domestic will be waived during the period stipulated above.
