Consumers who were affected by MYAirline’s suspension of operations can now request for a refund through the chargeback process for flight tickets purchased using debit or credit cards, or FPX from financial institutions (banks).  

MAVCOM has developed a FAQ/Factsheet that serves as a guide to MYAirline’s consumers to initiate refunds through chargeback for unrendered services.

The Malaysian Aviation Commission Suspends MYAirline’s Air Service Licence 

The Malaysian Aviation Commission (“MAVCOM” or the “Commission”) has announced its decision to suspend the Air Service Licence (“ASL”) of MYAirline Sdn. Bhd. (“MYAirline”) effective immediately pursuant to section 43(1) of the Malaysian Aviation Commission Act 2015 [Act 771]. 

The Commission issued a show cause letter on 13 October 2023. In the show cause letter, MAVCOM ordered MYAirline to provide its written representation within 14 days. The show cause letter among others, highlighted MYAirline’s failure to comply with its ASL conditions and sudden suspension of operations on 12 October 2023.
